Alfa Romeo released the first pictures of the new Gloria concept car they have designed and built in collaboration with the European Design Institute (IED). The car will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show previewing a future Alfa sedan, but it is said to an exclusive model for Asian and North American markets.
The Gloria looks absolutely stunning, but then it’s a concept Alfa Romeo, so it should. Any production model based on this design is going to be a properly hot car, but as you know Alfa is not very good at turning awesome concepts into reality. It took them years to make a production version of the 4C, which is also coming to Geneva.
Size-wise, the Gloria wipes the floor with cars Audi A5 and Mercedes C-Class, but they say it can get the same V6 and V8 turbo engine as the new Maserati Quatroporte. Now we’re talking!
“In effect, the saloon remains a symbol of elegance and prestige for these markets, associated with the idea of comfortable space both at the front and the rear, expressed by the length of the model,” Says Alfa.
