A few days after revealing the new VF Commodore in Calais and SS V formats, Holden now drops two more variants of the car, the Commodore Sportwagon and the Ute. Relevantly, the wagon version comes in the luxurious Calais trim, and the sporty Ute in SS V trim.
Both models also get the same interior, but with different trims. The Ute gets dark leather and red dials, while the family-oriented wagon features white leather and calming blue lighting. They do share the same sort of features and equipment though.
V6 and V8 engines will be available for both wagon and Ute models, with 6-speed manual or auto transmission. The American version of the Commodore, Chevrolet SS, does not get the manual gearbox, the V6, or the Ute variant, but it may be produced as a wagon.
A Ute version of the Chevy SS could sell well in America. It’ll be like a modern-day El Camino!
