German tuner G-Power, whose hobby is making the fastest BMWs in the world, is blogging – or rather Facebooking – about a new adventure of theirs. They have travelled 1,500 km in one of their heavily tuned BMW M3s to Nardo test track in Italy.

There is only one reason why would one go to Nardo. That is trying to go really, really fast. That is what these guys are up to. G-Power wants to see if they can break their own record 333 km/h for the fastest BMW M3 in the world.

The G-Power BMW M3 assigned with the task is fitted with their 610 horsepower M3 SK II CS supercharger kit, accompanied by various other high performance bits including suspension, wheels and tires, and some weigh saving for good measure.

With the E92 BMW M3 now consigned to the history books as a production model, and the new M3/M4 on the way, if G-Power manages to set a new speed record it’d be a proper sendoff for this brilliant car; something that BMW themselves failed to provide because they were too busy making stupid special editions for Japan or wherever.
