Canadians are not an exactly adventurous nation. But every once in a while they come up with some crazy stuff that could only happen in that country. This is a full-size, fully functioning truck… made from ice. The truck is made by Canadian Tire, an auto parts supplier in Ontario.

The Ice Truck is made up of 11,000 pounds of ice blocks fitted to a Chevrolet chassis with solid suspension. A team of sculptors then carved the ice blocks to give the whole thing the rough shape of a pickup truck. It even has a bed!

They went to all this enormous length to promote their new MotoMaster Eliminator Ultra AGM battery, which apparently works flawlessly in temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius. Job done. They couldn’t attract more attention if they put the battery in the space shuttle.
