Nissan announced its plans for the 2014 Detroit Motor Show and at the top of their list there is a brand-new and as yet unnamed sports sedan concept. The car is said to be showcase Nissan’s new design approach, and preview a future production sports sedan.
Although the words sports sedan and Nissan have never been used in the same sentence before, what they are proposing here sounds quite intriguing. This Nissan Sport Sedan Concept has a new energetic design that will be featured in all Nissan sedans of the future. Unfortunately they haven’t revealed anything about the car’s performance specs, which to be honest is the most important factor about a “sports” sedan. First and foremost it should be rear-wheel-drive, and it must have at least 300 horsepower. We shall find out soon enough.
Other major North American debuts for Nissan at the NAIAS will include the IDx Freeflow and IDx NISMO compact concepts, the stars of the previous Tokyo Motor Show.
