Mcchip-DKR’s upgrade program for the 3.0 Bi-Turbo straight-six engine that powers the new BMW M3 and M4 is now ready and boy is it good. Tested on this white BMW M4, the package results in a huge increase of more than 100 horsepower over the standard output.

The engine in question here is one of the most powerful six-cylinder motors ever built with 431 PS and 550 Nm of torque. But as Mcchip proves here, that is not its full potential. With a bit of fiddling, mostly with the electronics, the tuner has managed to extract 535 PS and 685 Nm of torque out of that engine. That is an astonishing amount of power for a 3.0 liter.

Mcchip-DKR BMW M4 can also be set at 510 PS and 650 Nm of torque for those who may not want the full-fat version. Although we’re not sure if 25 PS would actually make a noticeable difference. That said, you may want to choose the stage 1 kit for financial reasons.

Mcchip-DKR BMW M4 stage 1 kit costs 1,299 Euros, while stage 2 with 535 PS will set you back 1,599 Euros.
