German tuner Brabus has unveiled a new car based on the new Mercedes S 500 plug-in hybrid which, to all intents and purposes, the most perfect vehicle in the world. Brabus Mercedes S-Class Hybrid, or B50 hybrid for short, is luxurious, powerful, cool, and above all, clean and efficient.

You can’t really ask for more, but Brabus is going to give it to you anyway as this car also delivers a much more satisfying driving experience than its normal counterparts thanks to a number of upgrades the tuner has implemented on its chassis. But first let’s check out the engine bay and see what’s in there.

What’s in there is an upgraded version of the S500 Hybrid powertrain with the V6 unit boosted by 38 kW / 52 hp (51 bhp) and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) for a total system output of 368 kW / 500 hp (493 bhp) and system torque to 890 Nm (656 lb-ft). With that kind of firepower Brabus Mercedes S-Class Hybrid can scamper from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

Complementing the power and speed of Brabus Mercedes S-Class Hybrid is a bespoke aero kit consisting of completely new front and rear bumpers, front grille, vented hood, custom wings, front and rear spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser. A set of BRABUS Monoblock alloy wheels with diameters of 19, 20, 21 or even 22 inches complete the look.

Other highlights of the Brabus B50 Hybrid include a custom AIRMATIC control module with 15mm lower ride height, BRABUS Mastik leather and the finest Alcantara in any desired color, and the optional iBusiness multimedia package.
