Those of you who are into tuning and follow the news know about G-Power and their Typhoon tuning kits for BMW X5M and X6M. Now there is new one for the latest generation of these models, showcased here on this super cool BMW X6M Typhoon F86.
The last BMW X6M Typhoon the tuner released had 725 horsepower which, truth be told, is more than what anybody would ever need. But since having more is always a sign of progress, in the new model they have upped the output a little bit and tuned the engine at a nice and round 750 horsepower. It’s a remarkable gain considering the standard engine churns out only 575 hp.
The ingredients of the Typhoon power package include modified turbochargers with bespoke units featuring curved turbine blades and capped ends, flow-optimised sports exhaust with sports catalytic converters and stainless steel exhaust downpipes mated to a lightweight titanium system, and custom software. With 750 hp and 980 Nm of torque, this SUV can now pass 300 km/h without braking a sweat.
Another big highlight of the new BMW X6M Typhoon is the wide body kit it is sporting. Perfected over a period of 12 months, the kit features bespoke front and rear fascia designed to work with the massively flared wheel arches and increase the airflow for the engine. There is also a carbon-fibre ‘Venturi’ bonnet, side skirts, 102mm tialpipes and a set of ‘HURRICANE RR’ lightweight forged alloy wheels measuring 23 inch in diameter.
