Audi tuner ABT releases an upgrade package for the new Audi A5 Sportback. Visual changes are pretty subtle and virtually unnoticeable, but you do get a power upgrade for every engine in the range.
ABT’s A5 comes with a front spoiler and a rear diffuser, and that’s about it. They wanted to improve the aerodynamics a bit, and had no intention to mess with the way it looks. Other factors that are used for their functionality, but invariably affect the looks too include the sport lowered suspension and larger alloy wheels.
As for the performance, ABT begins with the petrol engines and the 1.8-liter TFSI, which gets a boost to 211 hp and 370 Nm. Then there is the 2.0-liter TFSI that gets 270 hp and 400 Nm, and then the 3.0 liter TFSI V6 with 380 hp and a full 500 Nm. That is the power of a big V8 squeezed out of an efficient V6.
If you are more of a diesel man, ABT offers upgrades for the TDI engines too. The 2.0 liter is boosted to 205 hp and 420 Nm, while the 3.0 liter now makes and 570 Nm.
