A few days ago Audi revealed its new S3 Sportback model, and to be honest the only interesting thing about it was the 300-HP engine. If you can live with less power, ABT has a much more fascinating proposition in form of the AS3 Sportback based on the A3. It is much more aesthetically pleasing than the S3.

The German tuner offers upgrades for both base engines. The 1.4 liter TFSI is boosted from 122 HP/90 kW and 200 NM to 160 HP/118 kW and 250 NM, and the 2.0 liter TDI from 150 HP/110 kW and 320 NM to 170 HP/125 kW and 360 NM.

The power may not be that exciting, but the looks are more than make up for it. The AS3 comes with a large front spoiler lip and the ABT grille, fender inserts, side skirts, rear skirt with 4-pipe exhaust and a rear spoiler.

ABT has also lowered the car by 35 mm and installed brake system with 345 mm discs behind the 18 and 19 inches DR wheels. A sport exhaust system is also available.
