MINI Countryman JCW ALL4 Dakar Edition

The best way to celebrate your success in motor sport if you are car maker is to release a special edition celebratory model. This way you mark the occasion and also make more money. That is what MIN is up to, launching a special Dakar edition of the Countryman JCW.

This car celebrates, and is inspired by, the MINI ALL4 driven by French duo of Stéphane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret at the 2013 Dakar Rally who achieved back-to-back victories for the company. It is more in Peterhansel’s favour though, as it is limited to just 11 units, paying homage to his 11 Dakar wins.

This limited edition model is based on the range-topping John Cooper Works Countryman, powered by a 160 kW/218 hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It has MINI’s ALL4 all-wheel-drive system, which is basically what the Dakar-winning car has, and all the goodies you get with the standard JCW.

What sets it apart is a special livery with matt black base and green accents, including Sport Stripes, which bear both the Dakar Rally winner’s logo and the signature of victorious driver Peterhansel on the bonnet. You also get the number 302 sticker and a couple of special badges, as well as 19-inch alloy wheels in Cross-Spoke Crusher design.

Other special features include a John Cooper Works sports steering wheel and Gravity Black leather sports seats, plus auxiliary spotlights and bespoke side indicator surrounds.
