Like the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, which is currently under development, will host numerous international events alongside its F1 grand prix as the main venue. One possible racing series which is likely to come to the capital is Australian V8 Supercars. If it happens, then they will have two races back-to-back in the region, since they already have Bahrain grand prix in their calendar.

Bahrain is apparently going to host the season opening race of 2010, so considering the short distance between there and UAE, it makes perfect sense for the Aussies to spend another weekend in the region, have a race in the Yas Marina advanced track, and then head home for the rest of the season. This will also increase their international presence and more people get to know this exhilarating race series.

Abu Dhabi’ Yas Marina Circuit is located on Ben Yas Island, which is literally transforming to a petrolhead heaven! Apart from the race track, there are many more auto-sport related facilities most important of which should be the Ferrari Theme Park.
