Next year the lovely Alfa Romeo 159 will be replaced with an all-new model, but before that the Italian company has released an updated version of the current generation as the 2011 model year. Those updates are not anything significant, you only get new rims and re-trimmed interior. And it comes with the new petrol and diesel engines that Brera gets.

Available in both sedan and estate forms, which they call Sportwagen, the 159’s interior has now become sportier as the aluminum parts on the consoles are replaced with carbon-look ones (for the special TI models). It’s a very nice touch and matches the new leather black leather upholstery of the car. You may also have it in beige but it’s not just as nice! The TI models also come with lowered suspension and 18-inch alloys. As an option you can order 19-inch wheels.

The car also features upgraded equipments for both sport and comfort packages, while there is also a new comfort plus level. So expect to see things like multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, top-notch stereo with Bluetooth and … on the list of options.

You can have the 2011 Alfa 159 with five different engines. There’s a 1.8 liter 140 hp and a 2.0 liter 200 hp turbocharged petrol, and as for the diesels a JTDM with 120, 170 and 200 hp.

Pricing for the new model starts form 24,360 Euros for the basic petrol model and 27,000 Euros for the entry-level diesel.
