This Autumn one of the most beautiful and artistic cars of all time will be gone for good! Alfa Romeo will cease production of the gorgeous Brera coupe and Spider, and the really sad news is that they are not going to be replaced with a new model, they will be just killed off. The Brera was a creation of Pininfarina and during its five years of presence in the market it hasn’t been a financial success for the company!

The car’s party piece is obviously its swell looks, which is doubly good with the Spider. But the powertrains Alfa Romeo provided for Brera were never up to the task. They gave it weak petrol engines and terrible diesel engines, and an opitonal four-wheel-drive system! Why you need that in a sporty coupe?!

Whatever the reason, it’s gone. But who knows maybe some day it becomes a classic! We’ll always remember the Brera as one of the all time great-looking cars.
