Google Testing Computer-Driven Cars

A while ago Google CEO Eric Schmidt said during a conference of some kind that he thinks it’s ridiculous that cars are still driven by humans! He said this should be a job for computers, for obvious reason. And we thought that some day they will start working on autonomous vehicles, but as it turns out they’ve been working on them for quite a while and made a lot of headway. Reports say that a number of driver-less cars equipped with all sort of cameras and have been spotted on the roads in America, all belonging to Google. Here you can see one of them based on a Prius. The word is they’ve already covered more than 140,000 miles without problems! It’s astonishing, maybe we see the Google Car much sooner than expected!
