Another day and another award for the magnificent Mercedes SLS AMG. This time this super awesome retro-modern hyper car is awarded by Europe’s largest public internet survey. It won both super sports car and coupe categories, and also voted as the Europe’s most popular car. That is high praise.
When it came to voting for Europe’s most popular car, the answer could not have been clearer: the majority of the voting public opted for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG super sports car. A unique and exciting style combined with an exquisite level of engineering – all of which evoke memories of that sports car legend from the 1950s, the 300 SL – enabled the gullwing to take top honours in this category. On top of this, the SLS also emerged as the clear winner in the super sports car and coupe category.
The other Mercedes model snatching an Internet Auto Award is the new R-Class which has been voted as Europe’s most popular van. The voters admired not only the car’s new elegant design, but also its great appeal to contemporary-minded, leisure-oriented people looking for a versatile car that also provides agile handling. But best of all, they liked its prestigious character.
