Range Rover Grand Evoque – Report

While the world is still waiting to see the first of the new Range Rover Evoque on the streets, news emerge that the company is thinking of a bigger version of the car to slot between the Evoque and the Sport.

This fourth model in Range Rover’s lineup could be called the Grand Evoque and would feature a more aggressive design than the base car, and it would also be larger and offer more interior space.

In other words, the Grand Evoque will be more family friendly, while its meaner, sportier looks would appeal to the younger buyers. It could very well be an alternative for the Range Rover Sport, for those who cannot afford it. According to the sources, the Grand Evoque will cost between £35k to £55k. The Sport starts at £55k.

The Grand Evoque will retain the normal Evoque’s coupe-like styling, but will get more dramatic lines and design features. That said, it has no intention of rivaling BMW X6. That must be the job for the next generation Range Rover Sport!

Under the skin, the Grand Evoque would be the same as the smaller sister to keep the costs down, and also get the same engines and drivetrain options with 2WD or 4WD as the Evoque.
