The latest ECU kit from Superchips is for the benefit of Audi A1 1.4 TFSI, as it gains an extra 26 bhp and 28 Nm of torque from it.
That indeed makes a big difference in the performance, as 0-60 mph time drops from 8.9 to 7.8 seconds. In-gear acceleration is also transformed, with testing proving that the Superchips remapped Audi A1 covers the 50-70 mph 5th gear increment 1.1 seconds faster than the standard car.
They haven’t tested the top speed yet, but that should also be increased. What’s more, the average consumption of 45 mpg remains intact.
Suitable for both six speed manual and seven speed semi-automatic S-Tronic variants of the 120 bhp (122 PS) Audi A1 1.4 TFSI produced from May 2011 onwards, the kit is priced at £455.
