Finally, we get to see the all-new Maserati SUV, called the Kubang, and thank God it doesn’t look anything like that leaked picture we showed you a few days ago!
The Kubang actually looks very cool, just as you expect from an Italian car maker such as Maserati. The car has the same name as the concept car of 2003 Detroit motorshow, probably because they didn’t bother to think of a new one.
Yes, this car is a Jeep Grand Cherokee underneath, but according to Maserati most of the parts that matter are actually made by themselves, including style, engine, suspensions, brakes, handling and performance will all be 100% Maserati.
The car will get new-generation high-tech Maserati proprietary engines, but there is no details available fro the time being on the power and performance figures. An AT 8 speed automatic transmission and specific performance settings such as suspensions, brakes, steering will be exclusively developed in Modena for the Maserati sport luxury SUV by the Maserati Product Development Department.
