MINI Inspired Goodwood at Harrods at MINI Inspired by Goodwood at Harrods

MINI was so chuffed they found a buyer for the £41,000 Inspired by Goodwood special edition that to celebrate the first delivery they rented a shop at Harrods and put the car on display. Harrods is one of the few places they might find people who are willing to blow 40 grand on a MINI. The car will be on display for two weeks starting from Easter Sunday.

To complement the beautifully crafted window display, which includes a manor house and gates to reflect on the car’s quintessential British character and screens that provide information about the car, each night the MINI logo and the words ‘1 of 1000’ will be projected on to the pavement outside the window. That reminds people there’s still plenty of these left to order!

Now if you’re wondering why in the world this MINI costs that much, it’s because of the Goodwood connection. The car’s been tweaked by designers from Rolls Royce Motor Cars. They’ve given it a lavish interior with the dashboard, centre console, air vents, carpets, heated leather seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding all finished in the exclusive Rolls-Royce colour Cornsilk. The dashboard and door handle surfaces are of Walnut Burr, a premium wood trim bespoke to Rolls-Royce.

On the outside the Inspired by Goodwood MINI comes with the exclusive Rolls-Royce colour Diamond Black metallic, and 17-inch light alloy multi-spoke wheels. Enough to justify the price tag?
