BMW 1M Coupe is not the kind of car you do research on prior to purchase, because it’s not a car you buy because you need it. The 1M is a car that you see, you want, and you get. Still, seeing as it costs £40,000, and last time we checked that was still a big pile of money, some of you might want to study this little bimmer before writing the check. And there’s no better way to get to know a car than long term test drives.
Autocar has been running a 1M for quite a while now, and did pretty much everything in it. So their verdict is probably the best kind you can get. Steve Sutcliffe does treat the car a bit harshly in this review, but that is what the 1M is all about. It is the kind of car you can have fun with on the way to work.
