Alfa Romeo 4C To Arrive Next Summer

Alfa Romeo 4C at Alfa Romeo 4C To Arrive Next Summer

Alfa Romeo has reportedly decided not to dilly dally around and launch the stunning new 4C sooner than scheduled. Before this we were hearing January 2014 and Detroit Autoshow as the time and place for the production version of the 4C to be unveiled, but after this year’s Villa d’Este concourse where the 4c won yet another award, they realized it’s time to unleash it sooner.

The gorgeous 4C sports car is supposed to jump start Alfa’s expansion program. They currently only make two hatchbacks – the MiTo and the Giulietta – but with the arrival of the 4C the Italian brand will boost production and finally get around making the Giulia, the replacement for the 159 sedan.

What’s more, Alfa Romeo is also working on a new Spider model which as reported earlier is going to be based on the next-gen Mazda MX-5. Busy years are ahead of Alfa, especially if their full relaunch in the American market finally takes place.

After the Spider – which may take up for 3 years to arrive – the 4C is the most interesting Alfa in the pipeline. A lightweight, mid-engined, rear-drive Italian sports car with such a fantastic design can really upset the market for other players in this segment.
