MINI “Britalian Job” Olympic Film Featuring Jodie Kidd

MINI, being British and also part of the BMW Group – the official automotive partner of the London 2012 Olympic games, has come up with a promotional film that pays homage to the 1969 classic, the Italian Job. It’s called the Britalian Job, and stars super model, actress, and massive petrolhead Jodie Kidd. The Olympic gold medalist Daley Thompson also has a leading role, but we’re more interested in Jodie’s part. She plays the villain and rides a big bike wearing an all-black outfit. Yea, I know…

Jodie is a very talented driver. She’s been on many Bullrun and Gumball rallies, and for a while she led the Top Gear Star In A Reasonably Priced Car lap board beating Jay Kay. Although it was quite a long time ago, in season two I think. Not sure if Jodie has done all the stunts in this film herself, but who the hell cares. Man she’s aged like a fine wine! Not that she’s very old. She’s only 34.

The Britalian Job is directed by Phil Churchward, the lead director on Top Gear.
