This time it’s the five-door version of Audi’s tiny little hatchback receiving a tuning package from VW’s family tuner, ABT. The AS1 package adds a couple of subtle yet effective touches to the exterior – including carbon side vents, side skirts and a rear diffuser with central tailpipes, as well as 18-inch ABT wheels – and substantial power upgrade for all the engine in the range.

The performance figures for the 1.4 liter TFSI engine is boosted from 122 to 160 horsepower in the base model, and from 185 to 210 horsepower in the high-end version. Meanwhile the 1.2-liter model jumps from 86 hp to 110 hp, and the 2.0 liter TDI – for the fans of diesel – from 143 hp to 170 hp. The quickest version with 210 hp accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 240 km/h.
