SRT unveils the Launch Edition of the 2013 Viper in Monterey, at one of the most significant automotive events of the year. The Launch Edition of SRT Viper features the same classic livery seen on the 1996 and 2006 Vipers, with GTS Blue color as base and dual full-length Bright White stripes on top. This Viper however sports the new Stryker badge with blue background.
These models also feature five-spoke polished forged-aluminum design wheels, again harking back to the Vipers of the yesteryear. There’s also unique interior appointments such as a serialized dash plaque further improves collectability by aligning the build sequence number to the vehicle identification number.
Other features inside the cabin include black Laguna leather with contrast stitching, covering the seats, door trim, instrument panel, steering wheel, grab handle, shift knob and center console. Alcantara covers the headliner and white bezels are finished in Satin Silver.
The new generation of America’s finest super car is powered by a 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque 8.4 liter V10 engine, mated to a manual gearbox. This is the first Viper in history to feature electronic controlling systems such as multistage stability control, traction control and new 4-channel antilock brake system (ABS).
Production of the Blue Snake will be limited during first run of 2013 SRT Viper GTS models.
