The latest commercial for Mercedes A Class boasts the car’s onboard connectivity features, namely the Drive-Kit-Plus system that basically turns the A-Class into a big, fast iPhone. The system brings on all your contacts on the car main screen, and has built-in Facebook and Twitter features as well. Although why you need those things in your car is beyond us. Your friends can wait for you to complete your car journey and then check their status.
Called “Online Monster” this ad has reportedly cost Mercedes 50,000 euros. So what do you think? Money down the drain?
Regardless of the overkill online features, the new A-Class is a genuinely good hatchback, with powerful engines ranging from 80 kW (109 hp) to 155 kW (211 hp), extremely efficient with emissions from just 98 g of CO2/km and a best-in-class drag coefficient of 0.27. Prices in Germany start at €23,978.
