Anyone with even a slight interest in motorsport is definitely familiar with Volvo’s blue and white wagon race cars. Now we are glad to report that it is coming back in form of the V60 Wagon race car. Volvo just released this teaser image to get our engines revving.

Back in the 90s Volvo had a serious career going on in the British touring Car Championship with the 850 race car. They were not the best team in the series, but it was very cool to see a boxy, family estate car in racing outfit keeping up with all the big boys. The V60 is much sleeker and aerodynamic than the 850, but  just the fact that it’s a wagon makes it quite interesting.

Details of the car are yet to be released, but we will probably see the V60 racing in different touring car series in 2013.
