Next Year MINI’s production plant in Oxford will celebrate its 100th years in business. A 100 years ago on March 28 the very first Bullnose Morris Oxford rolled off the production line at this plant, and since then they have built over 11 million cars under different brands.

Oxford Pant’s portfolio includes brands like Austin Healey, MG, Wolseley, Riley, Austin, Mini, Vanden Plas, Princess, Triumph, Rover, Honda, Sterling, the founding marque Morris. Of course since year 2000 and partnership with BMW, they have been busy with the new generation MINI, of which they have made over two millions units so far.

The current lineup includes MINI hatchback, Convertible, Clubman, Clubvan, Roadster and Coupe.

In its 100 years of existence, Oxford plant has employed tens of thousands of people – 26,000 at the peak in the 1950s and 60s – and generated remarkable wealth for the United Kingdom. To celebrate the Centenary year, MINI is keen to hear from any ex-employees and the families of ex-employees who would like to share photos and memories from the plant.

They are putting together a commemorative exhibition at the Plant. If you’d like to contribute, you can contact them at: oxford100@mini.co.uk
