On this episode of Tuned, Matt Farah goes to the Inde Motorsports Park in Arizona to drive a very special Corvette. The GT1 track car by AVI Racing is not just a tuned ‘Vette. In many ways, actually, it is not a Corvette at all! They wanted a full-on track car, so instead of starting with a street car and stripping it out, they built a race car from the ground up.

AVI Racing Corvette GT1 is a brutal piece of kit. With a full 505 wheel horsepower and body panels that weigh nothing at all, it is quite fast, and quite tricky to handle. With a pro driver at the wheel, though, the GT1 is capable of embarrassing most of the factory-built GT race cars.
