Alfa Romeo revealed the Gloria sedan earlier this week as a design study concept; a student project from European Design Institute (IED). Then we heard that they are actually considering this concept as a base for the new Giulia sedan, which will be the replacement for the 159.
So while we are waiting for Alfa to release more details about this rather important concept, let’s check out some new shots of the car that have made their way to the web.
To be based on Fiat/Chrysler’s compact wide architecture, the 4.7 meter Gloria – or Giulia – will share its underpinnings with the Alfa Giulietta and Dodge Dart. Engine-wise, while the the concept may even come with the same V8 engine found in the new Maserati Quattroporte, the production version is more likely to get the same MultiAir and MultiJet engines as the rest of Fiat’s compact car family.
