The new generation SsangYong Rodius has been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. And it’s a cause for celebration, not because it is a brilliant car, but because it means the hideously ugly Rodius of the past is now gone for good!

The new Rodius Turismo is not a looker, but compared to the old model it is not bad at all. It is still a flexible minivan with plenty of good features. The car boasts a 3,000mm wheelbase which results in a huge interior space suitable for family use.

It is also quite flexible. There are three rows of seats as well as a large load area which can be further increased by removing the third row completely.  The second row of seats can be folded individually and used as tables, and there is still sufficient room to accommodate airline style seat back folding tables.

The new Rodius comes with a 2.0 liter turbocharged e-XDi200 diesel engine developing 155 PS and 360Nm of torque. You can have it with either a 6-speed manual transmission and 5-speed T-Tronic Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission.
