On the surface, this car looks like a harmless little Golf MK1. But the truth is this little Golf is a poisonous animal, and all because of its engine. You so much as look at that engine, it’ll kill you. Somehow German tuner Boba Kettler has managed to squeeze 736 horsepower out of the Golf’s 2.0 liter 16V engine. If it sounds like a recipe for chaos, that is probably because it is.

The most ridiculous part is that all that power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. Still, the performance is pretty astonishing. Zero to 100 km/h takes no time at all, which is why they tend to boast about this car’s 100 to 200 km/h time, which is 5 seconds… which is faster than the Bugatti Veyron. Top speed is over 320 km/h.

As a daily driver, this Golf may not make that much sense. But take it to the drag strip and you can wipe the smile off the face of most supercar owners.
