Following an early preview, MG now releases the first official pictures of its sexy new CS Concept ahead of its world debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The CS is an urban SUV concept, hinting at an upcoming MG crossover for the global market.
Supported by MG’s owner SAIC Motor group and designed in-house by MG’s Global Design Director, Anthony Williams-Kenny, the CS tries to improve the new design cues the British brand has been employing since its revival and give it a more modern flare.
Highlights of the design include the headlights which have a multi-faceted ‘shard’ structure, iconic MG’s trademark octagon, a sporty and chiseled profile, a unique design for the roof, window surrounds and side sills, and large fancy wheels. It is the first new MG that looks properly cool.
No technical details are available now, and neither are any official plans for production.
