American tuner tuner has a lot of plans for the new Corvette Stingray. A while ago they said they are going to launch a shooting brake version of it, and now we received word that they are working on a racing GT3 Racing version as well.

The job of developing the car has been give to their German branch, Callaway Competition GmbH from Leingarten, who is responsible for turning the new Corvette C7 into a GT3-class race car and submit for homologation from the FIA.

Chevrolet has authorized Callaway to make the GT3 version of the Stingray, while they are busy themselves making the C7.R Le Mans version. No details is currently available on the spec of the C7 GT3. Callaway has only released these two extremely low resolution images to show us what the aero kit on this car would look like.

Upon completion, the Callaway Corvette Stingray GT3 will be eligible to enter FIA GT3 events in Europe and Asia.
