A lot of people went to this year’s Festival of Speed at Lord March’s Goodwood estate hoping to catch their first glimpse of LaFerrari hyper car. It didn’t show up, but the fans were not disappointed, as Ferrari had lined up a magnificent collection of modern and vintage models.
The focus this year’s was on the F12 Berlinetta, which was sent a couple of time up the 1.6-mile hill climb course, which it ate up like a piece of cake. The bespoke department, responsible for customizing and personalization of Ferrari vehicles, also showcased some of its work on the a 458 Spider and an FF.
The Scuderia’s 2010 F10 Formula 1 car was also one of the main attraction, as it took on the hill in the hands of Ferrari test driver Mark Gene. But the most special car in Ferrari’s lineup was probably the one of a kind SP12 EC belonging to Eric Clapton. Inspired by the iconic flat-engined V12 512BB, this car is based on the 458 Italia.
A number of priceless classic Fezzas were also on display, including John Lennon’s 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 Berlinetta that was auctioned off by Bohnams, 1953 Ferrari 250 Europa Pinin Farina, 1955 Ferrari 250 GT Speciale, and the iconic F40.
