The SQ5 is Audi’s attempt at making the Q5 a bit more exciting. They obviously realized the standard car is hellishly boring and completely uninteresting. It’s a fine car, the SQ5, but ABT Sportline does not agree. Which is why they rolled up their sleeves and came up with a version of the car that they think will do the job.
AS is the case with ABT cars, visual changes are limited, but quite profound. The SQ5 gets a sports grille, revised bumpers with spoilers and diffusers and stuff, flared wheel arches and new chunky side skirts. They have also lowered it, slamming the whole car on a set of large ABT wheels.
You can choose between CR, DR and ER-C wheel models for this car, available in 20, 21, and 22-inch.
Withe body and chassis take care of, ABT turns its attention to the 3.0 liter turbo-diesel V6 engine which in its standard tune makes 313 horsepower and 650Nm of torque. When ABT engineers are through with it, this engine is good for 360 horsepower and over 700 Nm.
That extra firepower means the SQ5 can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds flat, but the top speed remains limited at 250 km/h.
