Following its successful American premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegane, the new Spyker B6 Spyder concept is now gearing up for a long trip across the pond to make its first European appearance at Salon Prive exotic and classics show, taking place from the 4th to 6th of September at West London’s Syon Park.
As an evolution of the Spyker B6 Venator Coupe, the Spyder gets the same Porsche-rivaling 375 bhp V6 engine, mounted transversely in the rear-mid section of the chassis. SPeaking of the chassis, it is made from aluminum, which in combination with the all carbon fiber body, results in a very strong, yet lightweight, structure.
Designed as a pure sports car, the B6 is rear-wheel-drive, and has a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift. What sets this car apart and frankly justifies its price tag, which is going to be in the neighborhood of $150,000, is the lavish exterior design, and the classic Spyker interior with brushed metal, leather, and of course that exposed gear change mechanism. It is a very special car.
“The Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept will make its European debut on 4 September at Salon Privé, the UK’s premier luxury automotive lifestyle event,” said Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars. “We are delighted to share our newest high-luxury sports car design with the discerning drivers who comprise the audience of this premium event.”
