Maserati is taking its relationship with fashion company Ermenegildo Zegna to the next level by introducing a limited Zenga edition of the Quattroporte. To be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show as a concept, the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna edition will be produced in limited number in 2014.
The Zenga edition is definitely going to cost a lot more than a standard Quattroporte, but don’t expect anybody to notice that, as visual hints are quite subtle. It does get a special effect paint finish that features gloss black primer and ultra-fine aluminium pigments for a sensation of depth. But to an uninterested eye, it appears, well, beige.
Inside the cabin you get better idea as what the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zenga is all about. There they have applied warm hues like moka and greige in a modern key to “emulate Zegna’s latest men’s fashion collections,” according to Maserati. Furthermore, seats, door panels and roof lining are finished in genuine soft leather.
That is about it for the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Edition. It would be nice if it featured a body kit, or an engine upgrade, but Maser couldn’t be bothered.
