A while ago SRT asked their fans to log on and help them come up with a name for a new color they’d made for the Viper. The SRT Viper Color Contest has been a successful campaign and more than 11,000 names were suggested, but they picked the most unimaginative: Competition Blue.

The name was submitted by Patryk Skarzynski from Chicago, who won a trip to the 2014 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona at Daytona International Speedway to experience the race with the SRT Viper design team for his hard work.

The Competition Blue SRT Viper is currently on display at the SEMA show. It is a production color and you will soon be able to order it for your Viper.

“This contest demonstrates just how strong and vocal the SRT and Viper community is; to receive more than 11,000 entries was rewarding. This contest was created for our brand loyalists to make them a part of SRT history,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO – SRT (Street and Racing Technology) Brand and Motorsports, Chrysler Group LLC. “We’re looking forward to seeing Competition Blue drape the skin of the 2014 SRT Viper.”
