For those who may not know about this silly Jaguar-Mercedes beef that’s been going on for a few days now, we have to point out that it started by Jaguar making fun of Mercedes’ chicken commercial. They boasted their cat-like reflexes against Merc’s soft handling by showing a Jaguar eating the poor chicken. Now it’s Mercedes’ turn to respond.

And they took to Facebook to diss Jaguar in a more dignified manner using a picture and some wise cracks, which also help promote their Pre-Safe technologies. The picture shows a Mercedes travelling at night and a Jaguar lurking in the dark background. The words on the picture read “Because cat-like reflexes aren’t fast enough.”

Mercedes is sort of implying that they are holding back and don’t want to run over the small Jag. In other words, they are showing pity. Pretty clever, eh?

But the Brits are a resilient bunch. They won’t back down easily. Can’t wait or Jaguar’s response.
