MINI to Make Crowd-Sourced Special Editions

MINI Crowd Sourced Special Editions 0 600x375 at MINI to Make Crowd Sourced Special Editions

You may remember a few years go Nissan brought the idea of crowd-sourcing to the car world and asked their Facebook fans to come up with a tuning package for the 370Z. Now MINI has launched a similar campaign to decide which owner-designed package they should make as their next special edition model.

They need you to vote for the best design from the ten finalists you see here. It’s not going to be hard eliminating a few of them, because to be honest they are quite silly. The one with the dragons for instance, or the one that looks like a tiger, they are way too fantastical. Who in their right mind would like to drive a car that looks like this around his neighborhood?

There are some properly good designs as well, like the black Cooper S with yellow stripes, or the military-themed NCO which looks really cool.

So have a look around and decide which one you like best. Then head to MINIUSA.com and vote for your favorite. While you are there, you can also have a go at designing one yourself with the MINI configurator. MINI will announce the winners at the New York Auto Show April 16th and make 56 of these limited edition packages available to buy.
