This year Mercedes-Benz is the dominant force at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, as they managed to secure the Main Feature spot for their unique sculpture. At the beginning of the event they sent out a number of old and new Silver Arrows, nickname for Mercedes Gran Prix cars, up the Goodwood hill, creating a wonderful scene that took people back in time.

The cars were driven hard up the 1.16-mile route, which is a fascinating, as most of them are either priceless vintage models or fragile modern racers. The rang included remarkable cars such as race-winning 1928 Mercedes SSK, W 165 R Silver Arrow, the SL 500 rally car and the flame-spitting Sauber-Mercedes C 9 endurance racer. There was also MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One car driven by Anthony Davidson who also recorded a 360-degree film as he went up the hill.
