What we have here is a BMW M4 test drive gone badly wrong. It is a brand-new M4, possibly on its maiden drive after delivery in France, fallen head first into a large ditch. By the looks of things, the car has jumped into the ditch because there’s no tire tracks indicating a spin.
These images probably bring back lots of not so fond memories for BMW drivers and fans of rear-wheel-drive in general. If you are making the transition from FWD to RWD, you should start with something benign and mellow until you get used to the peculiar behaviors of this system. And keep that traction control on!
The new BMW M4 is one of the finest driver’s cars money can buy these days, and if you know how to handle its power, one of the most enjoyable. It comes with a 430 horsepower twin-turbo straight-six engine, the choice of a manual or a DCT seven-speeder, M differential, suspension, and brakes. And it looks awesome. Well, not this one obviously, as its face has been smashed.
