Volkswagen and American racing driver superstar Tanner Foust take their relationship to the next level as they release together a rather interesting Beetle at the SEMA show. In collaboration with the legendary Porsche tuners RAUH-Welt Begriff they have created the Tanner Foust Racing ENEOS RWB Beetle.
At first glance the RAUH-Welt Begriff Beetle appears to be a normal Beetle that has eaten more than its fair share of pies and it’s showing in its hips. But inspect closer and you realize it’s a replica of the famous RAUH-Welt Begriff wide body kit tailored to fit on the Volkswagen.
The kit adds up to 8 inches to the width of RAUH-Welt Begriff Beetle, which of course meant they needed a set of custom built one-off wheels, provided by Motegi Racing Traklite wheels measuring18x10 front and 18×12 rear. It is also further customized with Volkswagen’s R-Line accessories including an upgraded shift knob and pedal set.
“I love the engineering that Volkswagen puts into its cars — they’re packed with features and very capable — and I love the stylistic cues that you see from tuners in Japan,” said Foust. “I thought it would be interesting to mix the two and see what you would get.”
