A few weeks ago Audi revealed a racing version of the 2015 TT sports car, designed and developed for a one-make racing series called Audi TT Cup, starting from 2015. They have now announced the dates for the series which will be held at six DTM events throughout the year.

There will be a total of 12 Audi TT Cup races at 6 DTM events in 2015, starting with the DTM opener at Hockenheim in May and ending at the same venue in October. 165 drivers from 30 nations will compete against each other in TT race cars, not all of them professional racers. 18 slots will be permanently awarded by quattro GmbH in spring of 2015. Six other cockpits will be filled with changing guest drivers. 

“The participants, partners and fans of the Audi Sport TT Cup can look forward to six superb events as part of the DTM,” says Project Leader Rolf Michl. “The German rounds have traditionally been held in front of a great crowd. And the Red Bull Ring in Austria typically attracts a very large number of spectators as well.”
