Just when we thought Mercedes G63 6×6 cannot possibly get any crazier, we came across these photos showing what appears to a limo version of the 6-wheeled off-roader. This car is either a custom, tailor-made model built for a customer, or an entirely new variant of the 6×6.

Either way, this thing is very puzzling. We get the XXL body that scarifies some of the cargo room in the truck bed which nobody was going to use anyway to provide more legroom, plenty more, for the rear passengers. But what’s with the roof? And no, it can’t be a new Popemobile because the old man would feel badly claustrophobic in there!

Feel free to speculate on what could be the real purpose of this custom Mercedes G63 6×6, but we will probably get a definite answer at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Apart from the unique body, the rest of the car appears to be identical to the existing 6×6.
