Lotus Cars announced the official pricing of their latest sports car, the Lotus Evora 400, for the British market. The mildly updated Evora will cost you in the UK from £72,000. In Europe the car costs €96,000, and in the U.S. $89,900.
So what you get with the Lotus Evora 400 that makes it a better buy than the standard Evora? For starters, there is that fresh new face with that huge grin and also a revised rear apron. The 400 also comes with 370 mm composite two piece brake discs from AP Racing, a Limited Slip Differential, automatic air-conditioning and infotainment system including satellite navigation.
In short then, Lotus Evora 400 is lighter, more efficient and dynamically better than its run-of-the-mill sibling. But you can also make it look and feel more striking if you are willing to spend more. For instance, £2,000 will buy you a set of nice lightweight alloys, and you can get cruise control and yellow or black brake callipers for £300 each. Automatic transmission is priced at £2,000, Alcantara or Leather trim upgrades at £2,500 and metallic paint at £900.
Performance-wise, the Evora 400 boasts a 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 400 horsepower and 410 Nm of torque which enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph is just 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds) and reach a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
