Finally, after years of anticipation, in a couple of days we will get to see the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia. The spiritual successor to the magnificent 159 and 166 will arrive to first expand Alfa’s three-car range, and second, make them once again a contender in the mid-size sedan segment.

Unlike most other non-German players in this segment, Alfa Romeo Giulia will have no need to try too hard to convince buyers they should consider the Italian option. The beauty of this thing is evident even in this blurry teaser picture. What’s more, people have been waiting a long time for the Giulia and unless it has some sort of fatal flaw – highly unlikely – they are going to jump at it. This thing will become an instant hit.

The 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia will be available with a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. Now, you can get this car with the base 130-hp diesel engine and be perfectly happy with it because the looks are all you need for that. But the optimum choice would be a turbocharged four-pot with around 200 horsepower with a dual-clutch transmission and Alfa’s DNA. There are rumors that Alfa might even consider making a high-performance M3 rival variant of the new girl.
