Fresh off its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Divine DS concept goes straight to London for a special display and drive through the iconic Hyde Park. Built by Citroen’s DS Automobiles subsidiary, the Divine has a unique and exquisite design which symbolizes the “spirit of avant-garde.”
This is of course the French being, well, French. They might tend to romanticize the design of Divine DS and reinforce this view by taking it for stroll along the banks of The Serpentine, but to an ordinary onlooker is an unusual hatchback with way too much chrome and a few extra pounds, mostly round its hips.
That is not to say Divine DS does not have an interesting design. It has the usual DS quirks and peculiarities that make these cars interesting. It features the ‘DS Wings’ signature at the front and unique diamond pattern on the front grille, roof, taillights, even the dashboard. The DS ‘watch-strap’ seat design is another cool highlight of the interior.
Divine DS Concept represents “an exciting vision of the future for DS Automobiles,” according to Citroen. But for the time being they have no plans to put it into production.
