Two heavily camouflaged, pre-production versions of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia QV (Quadrifoglio Verde) were spotted a couple of days ago tearing up the Nurburgring. The Alfas looked awfully quick on the fast bits of the track, and pretty agile negotiating the tight corners. And they sounded magnificent.
That is not surprising of course, since Alfa Romeo Giulia QV is powered by a 510 horsepower, Ferrari-built V6 twin-turbo engine. It also comes with four-wheel-drive, which we suspect one of these prototypes in this footage is benefitting from:
The preliminary performance figures for the 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV puts its 0-100 km/h time at 3.9 seconds and the top speed at an astonishing 320 km/h. But performance is only half of what’s great about the Giulia. The car has a quintessentially Italian design inside and out and ticks all the right boxes for an emotional and engaging super saloon. It looks good, sounds great, and has an interior that is so inviting you just look for an excuse to go for a drive just so you can sit in it!
